A two-year art therapy programme was implemented in the women’s prison in Thiva in Greece, focussing on the self-image of the participants. Fourteen women went on a self-reflective journey in search of a connection with their lost identity.
Collage, photography, video and sketches give us a glimpse of a world of confinement but also a world of hope where everything is possible and people retain their freedom whatever the circumstances. In this part we hear of the struggle and the stories of a group in society that is rarely given a voice or whose voice is rarely heard.
