A guide from the Brussels organization Korei will lead visitors along a literary and visual trail in Muntpunt. To take part, please report to the reception desk.

On how artists and prisoners gave free rein to their creativity together. Artists and others from the cultural world in Belgium, Italy, Greece, Poland and Serbia who were involved in PAROL! share their experiences. Methods and best practices encourage participants to commit to working out their own initiatives with inmates.

Etnomusicologist Ben Harpert spent two years fol­lowing several musically talented inmates in a prison in Louisiana. This resulted in a concert film featuring rhythmically rapping okra pickers. Artist and curator Karel Verhoeven will give a pre-screening introduc­tion to the film and to the project Parol! writing and art beyond walls, beyond borders.
